I won a ribbon!!

Welcome to my third blog. Yes, I have decided to start another avenue to sharing my thoughts. In 2010 I left the rat-race to follow my passion and work from home. I started my first blog in order to record that transitioning. By 2012 I thought I had it in hand and started a new blog to chronicle the adventures of my days. Realizing how very diverse my life is, I am devoting this third blog to record the things I have learned along the way.

I am called a multi-talented person. Capable of much, knowledgeable of much, and much still to learn. First and foremost is my family, next is my camera, from there it works its way down to many other things I enjoy. So, as my blog grows, you will see exactly what I mean by ‘multi’.

I began my photography career back in the mid-80’s, before digital. I went to school, had a wonderful mentor, worked commercially, and then independently. I have worked in a portrait studio, on location, as an event photographer, love travel photography, and playing around with macro. I transitioned to digital with the help of more classes, but mostly tutorials on the internet. There is so much out there now, you can learn just about anything. More importantly you have to stay current before technology passes you by.

At one point I was asked to pick six of my favorite photographs I have taken. Below were the first four that came to mind. You can check out my Flickr page for more. If you would like a print of any of my work, please email me. Enjoy!
